Eilene M. Peterson, 84, of Andover, passed away, March 23, 2025, at Allure of Geneseo.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Augustana Lutheran Church, Andover. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, at the church. Interment will be at Andover Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Augustana Lutheran Church, Andover.Eilene was born on May 16, 1940, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Oscar and Jeanette (Anderson) Peterson. She married Ronald “Ron” Peterson on September 14, 1963, at Calvary Lutheran Church, Moline. Eilene worked at the Augustana Book Concern, where she met her husband Ron, and later worked at Andover Children’s Home. She was a member of the Augustana Lutheran Church in Andover, as well as the Andover Historical Society, and the Henry County Home Extension. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Eilene enjoyed crewel embroidery, and she made the world’s best chocolate chip cookies and pumpkin chiffon pie.Survivors
