Donald F. Hancock, Jr., 74, of East Moline, passed away March 16, 2025, at MercyOne Genesis in Silvis.Memorial services will be held 12 p.m. Saturday March 22, 2025, at Esterdahl Mortuary Ltd., 1301-4th Street, Orion. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm. Friday March 21, 2025, at the funeral home. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity.Don was born on April 14, 1950, in Norfolk, Virginia, the son Donald F. and Dorothy “Dottie” J. (Bowman) Hancock. He married Stacy Van Damme on February 14, 1998, in Las Vegas. Don spent his life working in heating, air and refrigeration. He grew up spending time on his grandpa Melvin’s farm. He had a love for John Deere, particularly the John Deere B Tractor. When he was younger, Don was an All-Conference Defensive Safety.
