Ronald "Ron" I. Peterson May 24, 1936 - June 22, 2024 Ronald "Ron" I. Peterson, 88, of Andover, passed away, June 22, 2024, at Allure of Geneseo. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Augustana Lutheran Church, Andover and will be live streamed on his obituary page at esterdahl.com. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, at the church. Burial will be at Andover Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Augustana Lutheran Church, Andover Historical Society, and/or the Jenny Lind Chapel. Ron was born on May 24, 1936, in Moline, the son of Florence (Johnson) and Ivan Peterson. He married Eilene Peterson on September 14, 1963, at Calvary Lutheran Church, Moline. Ron was baptized at the Augustana Lutheran Church on July 5, 1936, and was confirmed on June 5, 1949. He attended Andover and Orion Schools, graduating in 1953.
